About
Welcome to HeraldTheWord.com.
This site seeks to present articles on some of the most important and interesting subjects to be found in the Bible. It speaks primarily to the Christian believer, but also to anyone who may have an interest in the Scriptures. The subjects presented may not necessarily align totally with what is current thinking in Christian teaching. We hope the reader will decide for himself on any subject presented on this site without any undue outside influence.
Articles
There are presently three articles on this site. The first has to do with God’s ultimate purpose as described by the Scriptures. It can be found under the button entitled God’s Time Periods. This article describes how God has a purpose that He will accomplish within certain limited periods of time. It will also discuss the use of the terms eternal, everlasting, forever, and other similar terms, as found in the King James Version of the Bible. The words eon and eonian, as representative, in English, of the Greek words aion and aionios in the New Testament, are also discussed. No knowledge of Greek is needed, however.
The second article can be found under the button entitled God Chooses. The thought that God is attempting to save all at this present time is not actually found in the Scriptures. Rather, God chooses some for salvation at the present time, not all. This includes both the church and those in Israel who have accepted Jesus as their Messiah. Yet, because God only chooses some at present, this does not mean that He has forgotten those that are not presently chosen. The salvation of the unchosen is effected by God at a later time.
Finally, the third article is under the button entitled One God. Orthodox Christianity has a confusing doctrine called the Trinity, which teaches that there is only one God, but that the Trinitarian God actually consists of three Persons who are all fully God and completely equal to each other. This is a doctrine that was generated in the early days of the Christian church but finds no place in the Scriptures. This article describes the true teaching of the Scriptures regarding the one God.

Our Only Purpose
In II Timothy 4:2, Paul exhorted Timothy to preach, or herald, the word. To that end, we hope to make some small contribution.
