Romans 1, Codex Sinaiticus, 4th century
One God
Orthodox Christianity holds fast to the idea that it is a monotheistic religion. It believes that there is only one God, as do all monotheistic religions. At the same time, it teaches a doctrine that is usually called The Trinity. This doctrine teaches that, although there is only one God, that God eternally exists as three Persons, all of whom are fully God.
The Trinity is undoubtedly one of the most confusing doctrines in all of orthodox Christianity. It is at odds with the true teaching the Scriptures present regarding the relationship between God and His Son. This article presents the true teaching of the Scriptures regarding the one God.
